On Monday, August 21 the Bryan Main Library will be hosting a Viewing Party to watch the 2017 Great American Eclipse. Those interested in seeing the solar eclipse, can watch the event on the library front lawn. Viewers can start finding their seats on the lawn at 12:30 pm, and enjoy a lunch of hot dogs, chips, and refreshments, provided by the library. Attendants will also be given a pair of Eclipse Glasses, while supplies last, which are safe for direct solar viewing. The eclipse is expected to begin in Bryan at 1:00 pm, with the peak time being at 2:25 pm, and is predicted to end around 3:30 pm. Participants in the library program can come and go throughout this time. Make sure to attend, as this is the first total eclipse of the sun, visible in the United States, in almost 40 years!  The Bryan Main Library is located at 107 East High Street.
