Join the WCPL Local History Center crew on Saturday, October 31st for the 4th Annual Fountain Grove Cemetery Tour. Enjoy a Halloween filled with stories of some of the area’s most notable and notorious citizens. Along the way, learn about the architecture and symbolism used on tombstones, and finally answer that question, “Why does great-grandpa’s tombstone look like a tree stump?”

This year’s event will run a little differently. To help ensure social distancing, those wanting to attend will be divided in to groups of 10 at registration. To register, call 833-633-7323 x 285 by Friday, October 23rd. Upon registering, you will then receive your group number and tour start time. The first tour will begin at 4:00 pm, and the final tour is expected to end by around 7:00 pm. All tours will begin at the mausoleum, and will concentrate on 8 sites in the western portion of the Fountain Grove Cemetery. This event is for adults only, and masks will be required. Thank you for your understanding and Williams County Public Library is so excited to once again hold the Fountain Grove Cemetery Tour!
