Local author Carol Castor will be visiting the Pioneer Branch Library on Saturday, October 19th, at 10:00 am. The Girl Scouts of Williams County, as well as the general public, are invited to attend this program.

Carol Castor is the author of the A Mound of Evidence: An Aubrey Burke History Adventure, the story of a 21st-century girl, who gets transported magically into the life and times of another little girl living somewhere around 500 C.E. in the Hopewell Indian tradition. The two girls’ adventures take them through a day in the life of the people of this era. Carol’s newest book, Blue Star North, is its sequel, and it has Aubrey transported back into the time of the 1800s, where she accompanies two children along their ride on the Underground Railroad.

Carol has lived her entire life in Bryan, Ohio. She is the blessed matriarch to her wonderful family that includes a son, two daughters, four grandsons, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She has always enjoyed writing, having written for many organizations throughout the years.

At the library event, Carol will discuss the process of writing her books, and is hoping to encourage young budding authors to pursue their writing dreams! There will be a book signing and both A Mound of Evidence and Blue Star North will be available to purchase. If you are unable to attend the book signing, you can find the adventures of Audrey online at Amazon, Barnes & Nobel, or www.carolcastorauthor.com

This is a free program open to all ages, and registration is not required to attend. The Pioneer Branch Library is located at 106 Baubice St. For more information, call 419-737-2833.
