Edon Branch Library Summer Reading

Edon Branch Library Summer Reading Programs

The Edon Branch Library will be holding many exciting Summer Reading events with a theme of “Tales and Tails”. Programs will run from June 8 through July 29.

Summer Reading activities will officially kick off on Tuesday, June 8 with, “Crafting Fun-Make It Here or Grab-N-Go!” This crafting program will be held weekly on Tuesdays in June, and weekly on Wednesdays in July. Crafts will be available to make in the library, from 10 am to 2 pm, or you can grab a craft bag to take home and make yourself! Craft kits are also available for curbside pickup.

Wednesdays in June will feature special programs, with a visit from Exotic Zoo on June 9 to kick off the fun! At 2 pm, get up close to live exotic animals from around the world! Last year, the Exotic Zoo had a kangaroo as a special guest. Make sure to attend, and see what exciting animals will be visiting the library this year! On June 16 at 2 pm, attend the Team Zoom Canine Entertainment performance, perfect for all ages! This action packed event features expertly trained dogs showcasing unbelievably long Frisbee catches and gravity defying agility vaults, to jumping rope, hula-hooping, dancing and darting through an obstacle course. Team Zoom has performed at dog shows throughout the Midwest, and now is stopping by the Edon Library! You’re won’t want to miss this spectacular show! June 23 will be a “Messy Art Day”, starting at 1 pm. Make sure to wear old clothes for this fun filled day! At 1 pm on June 30, take part in “Drummunity”. A “drummunity” circle is a high energy, fun, and empowering activity for any age. The drum circle facilitator will bring her collection of instruments to transform our community into a drummunity! This will be an inspiring program great for all ages!
