Manhattan Short Film Festival

Filmgoers in Williams County will unite with audiences in over 300 cities, spanning six continents, to view and judge the work of the next generation of filmmakers when the 21st Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival screens at the Local History Center of the Williams County Public Library!

The Nine MANHATTAN SHORT finalists hail from eight countries with films from Austria, Canada, Germany Hungary, Kosovo, New Zealand, USA, and two films from the United Kingdom. These Final Nine short films represent the best short films from among 1,565 submissions from 73 countries received for 2018, which is a testimony to the enduring vibrancy and creativity of short films. Which of the nine films is the best? Viewers across the United States and the world will become instant film critics as they are handed a ballot upon entry that allows them to vote for the Best Film and Best Actor. The MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival viewing will be at the Harmon Room of the Local History Center Thursday, September 27 at 2 pm, and Friday, September 28 at 1 pm. There is no charge to participate, children under 17 are not permitted to attend. The Local History Center is located at 107 East High Street.
