Randy Wayne White "Stingers" Book Giveaway & Gift Basket Contest
New York Times Bestselling Author, and Williams County native, Randy Wayne White has generously donated 200 copies of "Stingers", the 2nd book in his popular Sharks Incorporated Young Readers series, to the Williams County Public Library to add to the library collection, and distribute to area youth. THANK YOU RANDY!
To distribute the books, WCPL will be holding a book giveaway and gift basket contest, for kids in 5th through 8th grade, Monday, June 7th through Friday, July 9th. To receive a FREE hardback copy of "Stingers" visit your local WCPL branch and enter to win a Sharks Inc. themed gift basket! A winner for each location will be awarded the gift basket, and all other participants will receive a copy of "Stingers" upon entering the contest, while supplies last!
Items in the gift basket include, "Fins" the 1st book in the Sharks Incorporated series, a "Stingers" themed balaclava mask, a $20 gift card to LaBo's Aquatics, a swim mask with a snorkel, a convertible beach towel, and more!
In the "Stingers" book, Luke, Maribel and Sabina dive back into adventure when marine biologist Doc Ford invites the trio of brave friends who make up Shark, Inc to a remote island in the Bahamas where lionfish, a beautiful and venomous inhabitant of the South Pacific that has invaded Florida and the Caribbean, are not just upsetting the balance of nature by damaging the coral reefs—their sting has put several people in the hospital. What Doc and Captain Hannah Smith don’t mention is that the island is riddled with limestone caves, once home to a band of pirates, and stories of Spanish gold have lured outlaw treasure hunters to the area.
