Join the WCPL Local History Center crew on Saturday, October 19th for the Third Annual Fountain Grove Cemetery Tour. Take in the stories of some of the area’s most notable and notorious citizens, from saintly missionaries to dastardly scoundrels, charitable citizens to titans of industry, and the barely remembered to unforgettable. Along the way, learn about the architecture and symbolism used on tombstones, and finally answer that question, “Why does great-grandpa’s tombstone look like a tree stump?”
The tour will begin at the mausoleum at 6:30 pm, with the Local History staff giving a brief history of the Bryan, OH cemetery, and then proceed throughout the grounds. There is no limit on the number of attendants. Individual flashlights will be provided for participants. The tour will end at approximately 8:45 pm. For more information, please call the Local History Center at 833-633-READ ext. 275.
