Jeff Yahraus, Director of the Williams County Public Library and Chasity Yoder, Executive Director of United Way of Williams County, and Jamie Vonalt, Executive Assistant of the United Way of Williams County, recently met with Ohio First Lady Fran DeWine to discuss early childhood literacy and her initiative of the Ohio Books From Birth Foundation that the Governor has funded in his current budget. Additionally, continued support and possible funding was given to the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, a program that delivers one book a month to a child from birth through kindergarten. United Way of Williams County has funded this program for over 15 years, partnering with the library, and placed fifth of all counties in Ohio with 49% of children from birth to five participating in the program.
