This position is an open position. Salary and terms is set by the Board of Trustees
Responsibilities:
The Director plans, organizes and directs the day-to-day operations of the entire Library System and reports to the Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities encompass all aspects of organizing and managing a public library system, including planning and development of library programs and services, budgeting and financial management, strategic planning, collection development, grant writing, policy development, personnel evaluation and supervision, enhancement of buildings and technology, and development of staff.

Promotes cooperation between staff and helps staff to develop ideas and programs, which helps improve the Library.

Promotes the library in the community by networking with local government and civic groups and is accessible to and cooperative with staff, Trustees and local officials.

Represents the Library’s interests at the local and state level.

Is required to attend at least 2 continuing education workshops a year.

Is required to work at least 40 hours a week.
Requirements:
MLS from an ALA accredited school (preferred), or relevant experience. Demonstrated customer service skills and commitment to excellent public service required. Must be able to meet the flexible scheduling requirements of the library. Ability to perform the major functions of the position. Starting salary will be based upon the level of education and relevant experience.
