You are cordially invited to attend a traditional English tea experience along with a discussion of the classic novel, Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen at the Bryan Main Library on Saturday, September 5th at 11:00 am. Light snacks will be served along with the tea. Door prizes will also be given out. Come for the tea, come for the discussion, or come for both. It’s sure to be a smashing time! Coming September 19, is the true story of the 1946 murder that rocked the small town of Bryan, Ohio and struck fear into the heart of the community. Emily's Story, a film documentary, will bring the events of the Bryan Library killing of young Emily Abernathy to the big screen. The truth will finally be told.
The public is invited to two special showings of Emily’s Story at the Arts and Education Center, located at 120 South Beech Street in Bryan, Ohio. There will be the Red Carpet Premiere Party at 7:00 pm, with doors opening at 6:00 pm. There will also be the Night Cap Showing at 9:00 pm.
The Red Carpet Premiere Party tickets are $25.00 per person or $40.00 per couple. Tickets include attending the first public showing of Emily’s Story, walking the red carpet, a DVD of Emily’s Story (one DVD per couple), and admission into the Premiere Night After Party! The After Party will have tours of the murder scene, meeting the cast and crew, a silent auction, wine and hor d’oeuvres. This is a formal event, so come dressed to impress!
The Night Cap Showing Tickets will be $10.00 per ticket and will include a late night viewing of Emily’s Story. This is a casual dress event.
Tickets are being sold at the Local History Center of the Bryan Library, located at 107 East High Street, Mondays through Thursdays during library hours. You can pay with cash, check, or credit card. Checks need to be made payable to The Friends of the Bryan Library. Accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. If you are unable to stop by the Local History Center, you can call 419-636-6734 ext. 275, and pay by phone with credit card.
