Video games for Xbox, Switch, and PlayStation are now available to checkout at Williams County Public Library! Games are displayed and available to browse at the Bryan Main Library. All WCPL patrons can place holds on video games, with our online catalog, here on our website, and then pickup at your local WCPL branch, once your holds are in.
Yesterday was an amazing day at WCPL, as the Ohio First Lady, Fran DeWine visited the Bryan Main “Rachel & Elwood Donohue Children’s Library”, and held the first story time in the newly renovated space! Mrs. DeWine read the 50th Anniversary Golden Edition of, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. Cookies were then given out to the large crowd of children who attended. Thank you again Ohio First Lady, Fran DeWine for visiting the WCPL Bryan Main Library! This event was such a special way to celebrate National Library Week, and will always be remembered!

The Williams County Public Library is excited to announce the launch of our new outdoor HoldIt Locker system at the Bryan Main Library! The HoldIt Locker System allows customers the flexibility to pick up holds from an outdoor locker any time of day or night, even when the library is closed! Patrons from all WCPL locations in Bryan, Edgerton, Edon, Pioneer, Stryker, and West Unity are welcome to use the Locker System for convenience pickup. The Williams County Public Library Board of Trustees is accepting qualifications from design professionals to provide design services for a Stair Project. The Project is anticipated to include renovating or replacing the steps at the front entrance of the Bryan Main Library and may include the renovation/enclosure of an existing patio. Interested firms may request an RFQ from Jeff Yahraus, Director, at email@example.com. Qualifications will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. local time, February 28, 2022.

Congratulations to Jeff Yahraus, Retired Director of Williams County Public Library, who has been named the 2023 Hall of Fame Librarian through the Ohio Library Council! This prestigious award recognizes a librarian for his or her career achievements, sustained leadership, commitment to the library profession, and contributions to the community at large. We at WCPL are so excited for Jeff to receive this much deserved award!
The Williams County Public Library is in the process of restoring the Carnegie stairs of the Bryan Main Library, with construction currently ongoing. Once complete the new limestone steps, with side supports made of all the original bricks, will be open to the public for library use!
